We’re a couple who believe the best games are the ones that don’t feel like effort. WeDJ! began as a go-to game whenever we got together with friends... something we played on repeat, tweaking as we went, just for the fun of it. Well, it’s starting to look like the WeDJ! we’ve been working towards!

There have been a LOT of questions, tweaks, testing, redesigns and “hmm… maybe that needs changing again” moments along the way 😂

And we’re not quite at the finish line yet - we’re checking this first production sample carefully before we give the final sign-off.

From our first prototype, to launching this Instagram account, exhibiting at UKGE, launching on Kickstarter and funding on day one, to now finalising the artwork and learning everything there is to know about manufacturing… it’s safe to say the last 2½ months have been an absolute whirlwind!

Our debut party game WeDJ! has officially made it off the ground… and somehow I (Faye 👋) have managed to build it amongst the beautiful chaos of raising three amazing, hilarious and completely relentless little girls, whilst Ross does his day job.

Bringing WeDJ! to life has meant working through nap times, late nights, early mornings and grabbing every spare moment in between. (Powered by a LOT of coffee ☕😂)

But I wanted to show my girls something important. That ideas are worth chasing. That the random “what if we...?” moments can become something real. And that women can create, build and lead too. 💚

WeDJ! started with a love of music and a belief that the best moments happen when people come together…

Spring Chicken Games Ltd started with Faye and Ross - a tired couple from Melton Mowbray, UK, with three young daughters, trying to find those little pockets of time where we could still feel like us. We’ve always loved game nights with friends. But after kids, the reality was by the time all of our kids were finally asleep, nobody had the brain power left for Catan...!

We wanted to PLAY. BUT, something easy. Something that got people talking. Something where music was on, drinks were flowing, everyone could join in and nobody needed to know obscure trivia, or even have to move chairs, to have fun!

WeDJ! slowly grew from those nights. One simple question: “What song would you pick for…?”
